Blood Banking for the Multi-Skilled Scientist by Craig Cox and Claire Prowse

Craig Cox and Claire Prowse - joint presenters of the AIMS Transfusion Workshop, "Blood banking Basics", a blood banking workshop for the multi-skilled medical scientist.

Craig Cox has worked in the field of Immunohaematology for over 20 years. His experience includes working as a scientist in the Hunter Red Cross Antibody Reference Laboratory, a Senior Hospital Scientist in Blood Transfusion laboratories at John Hunter and Mater hospitals in Newcastle. Craig has also been involved in teaching blood banking courses at TAFE and Universities. Craig is currently employed as a Technical Manager - Immunohaematology with CSL.

Claire Prowse graduated from RMIT Medical Laboratory Science in 2000. From 2000 - 2002 Claire worked in the Melbourne ARCBS Red Cell Serology Laboratory gaining a sound knowledge of antibody identification techniques. Her experience also includes over 12 months in the International Blood Group Reference Laboratory in Bristol England and as a Senior Scientist in the Transfusion Laboratory at St John Of God Pathology, Ballarat. Claire is currently employed as a Tehnical Manager Immunohaematology with CSL.
