The Impact of Pre-Analytical Error
  • Riana Scott, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital

Ms Riana Scott graduated with Honours from James Cook University in 2002 and worked for two years in Pathology at Townsville Hospital. The travel bug bit her in 2005 and she took off around Queensland as a Country Relieving Scientist. After three years and many kilometres, Riana returned to Townsville where she is working again at the hospital while undertaking her PhD with James Cook University.

Quality at Point of Care
  • Lyndall F Palmer, PaLMS Northern Rivers Pathology Service

She has been involved in point of care testing (POCT) since 2000, coordinating the POCT services for the Laboratory.
